Karen Ehrman, M.D., F.S.I.R.
Karen O. Ehrman, M.D., F.S.I.R., is an Interventional Radiologist at Irvington Radiology and Vein Center of Indiana which she joined in July 2003. Dr Ehrman graduated from Indiana University Medical School with Highest Distinction. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency and fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Indiana University Medical School. She then practiced Interventional Radiology for 13 years at Methodist Hospital where she was the fellowship director and assistant professor of Radiology at IU Medical Center. Dr. Ehrman has a certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and is a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology. She has given invited lectures throughout the country, been a faculty organizer and presenter for a number of years at the Society of Interventional Radiology National meeting and published numerous scientific papers. Dr. Ehrman has been a principle investigator on several research projects including a national registry of Uterine Fibroid Embolization. Dr. Karen Ehrman is a nationally recognized expert in minimally invasive procedures which include treatment of symptomatic varicose veins with laser ablation, uterine fibroid embolization, and ovarian vein embolization for pelvic venous congestion. She also has expertise in treatment of vertebral compression fractures and other sources of back pain. Dr. Ehrman values her relationship with patients and strives to provide cutting edge technologies to improve their health.
Bryan C. Hankins joined Irvington in July of 2005. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Hankins completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 2004 and is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He received his sub-specialty training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Indiana University Medical Center, which he completed in 2005. He received his Certificate of Additional Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in 2008.
Dale McCarter joined Irvington in December of 1996. He is a member of the Interventional Radiology Section of Irvington Radiologists. Dr. McCarter is on staff at Community Hospitals North and East. Dr. McCarter received his BS graduating Cum Laude from the University of California. He received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. His internship and residency in Radiology were completed at Tripler Army Medical Center. Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology was done at Alexandria Hospital, Virginia.
Dr. McCarter is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology. He is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, and the Indiana Radiological Society.
Prior to joining Irvington Radiologists, Dr. McCarter served as Chief of Cardiovascular Radiology, and as Program Director of the Interventional Radiology Fellowship training program at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center.
Scott Savader, M.D., F.S.I.R.
Scott J. Savader joined Irvington in December of 2004. Dr. Savader received his medical degree from the University Of South Florida College Of Medicine. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at USF in 1989. Dr. Savader completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in 1990 at The John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was an Associate Professor of Radiology and Surgery for 10 years.
Dr. Savader is certified by the American Board of Radiology and received his certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He was elected as a Fellow in the Society of Interventional Radiology.
Since joining Irvington Radiologists, P.C. and the Community Hospitals Center for Interventional Radiology in December, 2004, Dr. Savader’s specialties include Interventional Oncology and Dialysis related interventions as well as the minimally invasive treatment of vertebral fractures and back pain.
Joseph Yedlicka, M.D., F.S.I.R.
Joseph W. Yedlicka, Jr. Dr. Joseph W. Yedlicka, Jr. is Director of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Community Hospitals, Indianapolis, IN. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and graduated with Honors from Rush Medical College. He subsequently completed two years of General Surgery Residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and four years of Diagnostic Radiology at Loyola University Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident. Following a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University Of Minnesota Hospital, he served for three years as Assistant Professor of Radiology at that institution. Dr. Yedlicka was then named Director of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Evanston Hospital/Northwestern University, and Associate Professor of Radiology at Northwestern University. Dr. Yedlicka joined Irvington Radiologists, P.C., and became Director of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Community Hospitals Indianapolis. Dr. Yedlickas extensive bibliography includes 41 scientific publications, 28 chapters in 6 textbooks, and over 100 medical presentations in the United States and abroad. He has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, and was elected as a Fellow in the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology in 1998. Dr. Yedlicka is an expert in minimally invasive procedures including laser ablation of varicose veins, uterine fibroid embolizations, new cancer treatments, as well as back pain management and treatment of spine fractures. Dr. Yedlicka has been recognized as a "Top Doctor" by his physician peers (Indianapolis Monthly Magazine) in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011.
Dennis Myers joined Irvington in July of 2005. Dr. Myers graduated in 2000 from Indiana University School of Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Myers completed his Radiology Residency at the Medical College of Ohio.
Connie Harrill joined Irvington in September of 1999 and is a member of the Breast Imaging Section of the Practice. Prior to joining Irvington Radiologists, Dr. Harrill was Chairman of Radiology at St. John's Healthcare System in Anderson, Indiana. She received her BA in Chemistry and medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the Indiana University Medical Center.
Dr. Harrills clinical interests are in Mammography, breast imaging and breast biopsy procedures. She is strongly committed to both clinical teaching and patient education in this area.
Catherine Kurowski graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2002. Dr. Kurowski also completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency and additional Fellowship training in Breast Imaging at Indiana University School of Medicine. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. Catherine A. Kurowski, M.D., joined Irvington Radiology in 2008 as a member of the Breast Imaging section. Dr. Kurowski is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiologists, and is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
Todd Mitchell, M.D. joined Irvington in July of 2010 and is a memeber of the Breast Imaging section of the Practice. Prior to joining Irvington Radiologists, Dr. Mitchell received his BA in Business Administration from Taylor University and spent over 11 years in business, which included financial investment and non-profit businesses. He received his Medical Degree from the Universtity of Illinois at Peoria, Illinois, and completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency and a 5 month mini-fellowship in mammography at Indiana University.
Dr. Mitchell is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Society of Breast Imaging, the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Shannon Steed, M.D. joined Irvington in July of 2012 and is a member of the Breast Imaging Section of the Practice. Prior to joining Irvington Radiologists, Dr. Steed received her M.D. degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, KY in 2006. She was trained in Radiology at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN from 2007-2011 and was certified by the American Board of Radiology in May 2011. She remained at the Indiana University School of Medicine for fellowship training in Breast Imaging which she completed in June 2012. Dr. Steed is a member of the Society of Breast Imaging, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Radiology, and Indiana Radiological Society.
Kenneth Stookey, M.S., M.D.
Kenneth R. Stookey, joined Irvington in July of 2004 as a member of the Breast Imaging section. He received a B.S. in Biology with honors from Indiana University, and completed his M.S. in Physiology and Biophysics from I.U. Dr. Stookey also completed Medical School, a Diagnostic Radiology residency, and additional fellowship training in Breast Imaging and Musculoskeletal Radiology at Indiana University. His specific interests include magnetic resonance imaging, including Breast MR.
Dr. Stookey is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiologists, and is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
James Bognanno joined Irvington in July of 1990. He currently serves as President of Irvington Radiologists. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Prohealth and the Indiana Specialty Group and is the Medical Imaging Director for Community Imaging Centers. Neuroradiology is his primary clinical focus but also works in body imaging and CT guided intervention. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1989, and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology.
Dr. Bognanno attended the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed a Surgery internship at LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital/Gunderson Clinic. His Radiology residency and Neuroradiology fellowship were both completed at Indiana University Medical Center.He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, and a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Edward Kim joined Irvington in July of 2006. Dr. Kim attended The University of Chicago and received his BA in Biology in 1993. His medical degree is from Indiana University School of Medicine which he received in 2000. He served his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Ohio State University Medical Center and College of Medicine and Public Health and fellowship in Neuroradiology at Ohio State University as well.
Robert N. Walker joined Irvington in July of 2010 and is a member of the Neuroradiology Section of the practice. Prior to joining the Irvington Radiologists, Dr. Walker was a Radiology Resident and Chief Resident at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA and a Neuroradiology Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Healthcare System in Philadelphia, PA. He recived his BA in Biology from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN and Medical Degree from the University of Illinois. Dr. Walker is ABR Board-Certified in Radiology.
Perry Wethington joined Irvington in July of 1994 and is a member of the Neuroradiology section. As an undergraduate, he received his BS degree in Biology from Indiana University. He received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Honor Society of medicine. He then completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in Neuroradiology at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Radiology and a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Mary Wolfe joined Irvington in May of 2002. She is staffed at Hancock Regional Hospital and is part of Irvington’s Neuroradiology section. Dr. Wolfe received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology and her fellowship in Neuroradiology at Indiana University School of Medicine. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Wolfe is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiologic Society of North America and the American Medical Association
Scott Childress joined Irvington in July of 1999 and is a member of the Musculoskeletal Section of the practice. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and subsequently completed his Radiology Residency and Musculoskeletal fellowship training at Indiana University. Dr. Childress is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Childress is a member of the Society of Skeletal Radiologists, as well as the Radiological Society of North America and American College of Radiology.
Kenyon Kopecky, M.D., F.A.C.R.
Kenyon Kopecky joined Irvington Radiologists in July of 2001. He received his BS degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from Indiana University and completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky. His radiology residency and fellowship in Body Imaging were served at Indiana University. In 1985, he joined the faculty at Indiana University as Assistant Professor and Director of the Abdominal Imaging Division, and in 1993 he was promoted to the rank of Professor. He has published over 100 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and over 20 book chapters and invited manuscripts. Dr. Kopecky has been an invited lecturer at more than 100 meetings in the United States and abroad.
Dr. Kopecky is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Indiana Radiological Society, the Indiana State Medical Society, and the Indianapolis Medical Society. In 2008 the Indiana Radiological Society awarded him the "Gold Medal" for outstanding service to the profession.
Joined Irvington in January of 1998 and is a member of the Musculoskeletal and Body Imaging section of Irvington Radiologists. He is on staff at Community Hospitals North and East. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees at Indiana University. Dr. Kurlander completed an internship at Tulane University and residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He received fellowship training in Body Imaging at the University of Pittsburgh and Nuclear Medicine at Loyola University. Dr. Kurlander is Board Certified in Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology.
Stephan Stockberger, Jr., M.D., FACR
Stephan Stockberger joined Irvington in May of 2000. Dr. Stockberger received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University where he graduated with Highest Distinction. His education at Indiana University includes a Medical Degree, Residency in Diagnostic Radiology, Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and membership of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Stockberger is a Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology, Fellow of the American College of Radiology, and a member of the Radiological Society of North America and American Roentgen Ray Society.
He has been active in the American College of Radiology where he served as President of the Indiana Radiological Society, in state society committees, as well as Clinical Reviewer for the ACR Ultrasound Accreditation Program.
Prior to joining Irvington Radiologists, he practiced at Indiana University School of Medicine where he was Associate Professor and Fellowship Director of Abdominal Imaging. He is currently Chairman of Irvington Radiologists.

Michael L. Swack joined Irvington in July of 2002. Dr. Swack received his Medical Degree from the University of Iowa. He completed a Transitional Internship at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Dr. Swack completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Indiana University and his fellowship in Body Imaging with an emphasis in Musculoskeletal and Body MRI at Northwestern University. Dr. Swack is Board Certified by the American College of Radiology. He is also a member of the Radiological Society of America, and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
Todd Harris joined Irvington in May of 2000 and is a member of the Neuroradiology section of Irvington Radiologists. He currently is on staff at Community Hospitals North , East and TIHH. Dr. Harris attended Butler University receiving a BS in Chemistry. His medical degree is from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He served his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship in Neuroradiology at Indiana University as well. Prior to joining Irvington Radiologists, he was a member of Tulsa Radiology Associates, Northeast Medical Imaging in Norfolk, and the Muskogee Radiological Group in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Dr. Harris is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, and a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society.
Susan Ivancevich joined Irvington in February of 2002. Dr. Ivancevich received her Medical Degree from Indiana University School of Medicine where she also completed a Residency in Radiology and a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology. Dr. Ivancevich is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. She is a member of The American College of Radiology, Radiologic Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, and Indiana Roentgen Society.
Paul Smart, M.D., Joined Irvington in February 2007. He received is M.D. from the University of Iowa School of Medicine, Iowa City, IA. Dr. Smart completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and his fellowship in Vascular/Interventional radiology at University of Miami/JMH. Prior to joining Irvington Radiologists, He was a staff radiologist at Cleveland Clinic in Naples, Florida.
Dr. Smart is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the National Medical Association, the Indiana Medical Society, and the American College of Radiology.
